Shackled she felt.

Heavy and bogged down she appeared.

Answers eluded her.

When she herself wasn’t aware of the questions that needed to be asked how could she feel betrayed by the answers that remained a mystery?

A weak smile played on her lips at this thought. Or was that a disdain that lay hidden beneath the smile? A disdain at herself for her own irrational fears and follies that she feared, that a deeper analysis would jeopardize her existence.

Because, no matter how deeply she disliked the situation, it was no comparison to how deeply she disliked herself for obeying the circumstances without a second glance.

Take charge, her heart nudged again. I have no power, she countered.

If only you stopped hiding behind fear!

Her heart demanded again, take charge. Take charge now. No time is better than now. Time is never coming to save you. Only you can. Decide that it’s time to be saved and be your own savior for once.

She rose from the floor. An embrace broke off, she felt. There was nothing that held her back. It was only her own limited thoughts cradled with fear of losing that had enveloped her so long.
