Rain the excuse I needed
on a Sunday to hide away
with morning tea, visiting
my old friend Frost, once
again “Stopping by Woods
on a Snowy Evening,”
a poem I quote by memory
for the amusement
of drunken friends,
yet one I read so often
the page of my book
darkened by my fingers.
