Self Care. We hear these words uttered more often nowadays.

Self-care is THE most important care of all as it turns out we tend to overlook our well being most often than not. How can one take care of others if they are not taking care of themselves? And yet that seems to be the case always.

So what is self-care?

In simple words, taking care of yourself, your well being, your needs, most importantly appreciating yourself for the amazing person you are.

But are you doing that?

Let me answer that question. I am not. I take care of my family day-in-day-out. But I fail to take care of the one person that helps keep my family running smoothly. And that would be me.

I don’t sit down and relax.

I don’t say thanks to myself for doing all the wonderful jobs. Heck, I don’t even see the work I’m doing on a daily basis. Even after achieving a major chunk of work before 8 am, I consider myself jobless and unproductive.

I don’t take the time to appreciate the person I am.

See, being a working stay at home mom has made me work more than I would’ve if I were going to an office and work, at the same time it makes me NOT see the amount of work I am accomplishing every day.
